Green Tea

If I were a different person, my regular eating habits would not be so detrimental. But when you factor in my genetics, I just can't go around eating Oreos and milk every night. Luckily we killed the Oreos on Tuesday. Yesterday was rough considering I forgot to pack a lunch and bought 2 bags of plain Lays (Just can't eat one) chips from the gas station to get extra speedway points on our rewards account. I ate them for Meal 1 and Meal 2.

I have been thinking, if this doesn't work, I may just fast for 40 days and nights like Jesus. Except one small problem, I am NOT Jesus so that may not work out for me. According to reliable sources, you really can't live more than 10 days without water, of course, unless you are Jesus. I have gone 10 days without water, but my body took whatever it could get from the food that I consumed. I know you are probably wondering WHY in the world did you go 10 days without drinking water. I don't know ... I get forget to drink beverages sometimes. I mean I hate orange juice, I don't drink pop and water is so blah. It really doesn't leave me with much to crave, so I often forget to drink. If it weren't for tea, I would probably NEVER drink anything at work. Hopefully, I will be able to change that next week with a minimum of 64 ounces of water a day!

Speaking of tea, I have been researching the effects of tea on your diet. There are many claims about the miracle of green tea. Everything from lotions to hair products contain green tea with promises of grandeur. My parents drink at least one cup of green tea everyday to keep the antioxidants out of their bodies, which inhibits the growth of cancer cells. There are other claims out there that green tea delivers a slight metabolism boost and some anti-aging properties.

An ancient Chinese proverb says, "Better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one." I may add a cup of tea to my regimen.

Yesterday went like this:

Meal 1 - Lays Potato Chips
Meal 2 - Lays Potato Chips
Meal 3 - 2 slices of homemade turkey sausage pizza
Meal 4 - Chicken Pot Pie
Meal 5 - Dreamsicles (2)

~Everything is a Process ... Just keep swimming.

  1. Doesn't your mouth get dry? lol.
On the positive, at least you counted the number of days it had been since you had water. :)

I am interested to see what Friday brings.
