If you refer to my last post, there has been a 1 week, diet postponement. So these posts are about my preparation, my current eating habits and some research that I am doing to settle some myths about dieting that I have heard over the years. I remember my first diet; I was probably about 12 years old. It was a parent-sanctioned Slim Fast diet. I fainted at Target because I wasn't drinking enough water or maybe because I wasn't eating enough food. Perhaps we will never know the real reason. My mom banned me from diets until I was 17. That's when it all began I suppose... But the point of this memory is that water is very important. See my older post from last year about water intake. There are a couple of theories, 8 glasses a day, which is 8 cups a day, which can be construed as 64 ounces a day. Also, my previous personal trainer, Jen always said halve your weight and drink that in ounces. THAT'S A LOT OF WATER! Well, I guess that depends on your weight. But I digress ... I have found that you can also measure it by simple regular sized water bottles. Four a day should suffice for the average person. What is the average person? Hmm... I am not sure but most people are average. Are you average? I don't know, you will have to ask an average person. With that said, I have a friend that is evidently more green/environmentally conscious than I am and she suggested using a re-usuable bottle. This is a great idea, except about a year ago they was a HUGE BPA causes CANCER scare and no one wants to use plastic bottles more than once anymore. So I went out and found a great pink metaloid, BPA free water bottle which does not release any toxic chemicals over time. Don't trust me? Check it out Bisphenol-A repeated use of plastic is deadly.
Yesterday sadly went like this:
Meal 1: oatmeal
Meal 2: broccoli and turkey breast
Meal 3: 4 pancakes, syrup, 4 pieces of turkey bacon, 3 fried eggs
Meal 4: Oreos and milk
~Everything is a Process ... Just keep swimming.
